One of the most memorable moments of the event was when students confidently spelled words that even parents and teachers had never heard before. This left parents feeling both amazed and proud, as they realized how well-prepared the children were for this challenging contest.
The rules were simple yet tough:
- Participants had 1 minute to spell the word after hearing it.
- The judges gave clear pronunciations of each word, and students had to carefully listen and break the word into smaller parts to spell it correctly.
It was not an easy task. Standing in front of an audience, listening carefully, and spelling words that were completely new to them required immense focus and bravery. Many children felt nervous, but they overcame their fears and performed brilliantly.
The event was attended by parents, with 1 parent allowed per participant, creating an intimate and supportive atmosphere. Principals from all branches represented their campuses, cheering for their students and showcasing their pride.
At the end of the event, every participant received a medal as recognition of their hard work and courage. While some children were disheartened if they didn’t win, the spirit of celebration and learning brought smiles to everyone’s faces by the end. It was a reminder that participating in such events is a victory in itself.
Refreshments were generously provided by Kababjees, allowing everyone to relax and enjoy a delicious treat after the intense rounds of spelling.
